  • This could be useful: I'd love to be able to compare time and date on a users machine and match things like daylight / night cycles and seasons to the actual date of the computer.

Is there any way to do this in construct?

  • There's a date object you can use for this sort of thing.

  • Oh crap, I didn't even know that that was in Construct.

Anyway, is there any documentation on how this thing can be used?

  • Try Construct 3

It's one of those objects that uses the camouflage feature (I didn't see it hidden in there for ages either heh). Unless there's something on the wiki there's nothing I know of. But I've played around with it before today with by the sounds of it, the exact same idea in mind, the day/night cycles. It'll work just fine for that.

I had it set up so at the start of the layout, the position of a sun would use the time given when using get hour, and then the same thing for things like sky color and a full screen effect for overall color, which would then just gradually fade in and out over time, to give the impression of day and night. And since it can do months too, could do the same with seasons.
