At the risk of sounding like a broken record... that is not an OS.

And you're not "proving anyone wrong." You made exactly what everyone said you could make, which is a program that can open files and stuff.

Yeah, but it's not even a shell, because a shell is a direct interface to the OS. It's just a file browser. Which again, everyone said you could make, so I don't see how you're proving us all wrong.

yes i did come up with some cool features like changing your pass security cam and later on going to make a music app and painy

Look into a Linux operating system, try to learn from the programers on the team, and steal some code, change graphics, and try to make your own linux operating system. I still would just be a mashup of other linux operating systems, but it would be the quickest and easiest way to trully have your own operating system. DONT use construct for something like this.

Can we lock this thread???? Because this guy is so aggravating it just invites flame wars... seriously why attack someone for giving you advice on a great way to customize an OS (use Linux). Look at the title of your thread!!!!

I second the Linux idea personally for a good way to learn about OS's. But you are free to build whatever you want to, just change the name of this thread then.

My bad.... Yes, Ember is a really sweet program. I am somewhat impressed.

Unfortunately ademisaalbo, I don't think some people are going to be as understanding of your concept as others, so it probably is safest just to close the thread so nobody is trolling your sweet program. I'm sorry to have to do this.

Maybe in the future when you get it 100% finished you can show it to us. Until then I think it's probably best to keep it on the down-low.
