Yes - for the most of the games you create with C2 you 'create' your game on the canvas.
Therefor you have 'layers' (z-sorted).
Put your images on a layer (one layer of your canvas) and set size, position, ... (see and change the object properties).
Then add behaviors if needed and start create a script - sorry No Programming Required! is just a lie.
