Sprites have odd lines, how to fix?

A bunch of my sprites have this weird line, how do I fix?

Is it because I'm not using 64x64 size images? that is, square images? Or do I just need to fix pixel rounding?

Check your sprite images, sometimes I find I leave a line at the bottom, you can sometimes see it in the frames too.

Easy check is to 'Crop', it should be tight to the sprite unless you have this extra line.

Another way is to select and cut across the bottom of your sprite.

Doh! It was totally a turret sprite that I had pinned to the object!

Cleaned that sprite up and presto. Clean GFX.

Oops. Nope.

I have to resize to be a square object of 64, 128, 256 etc because I'm doing lots of zoom stuff. That fixed it.

Wrong again -- I had to draw a black line, then erase it -- and this worked.

WTF?

Weird. Oh well. Fixed.

Nope, still not right. Nothing I do affects this on certain objects...

Such a rollercoaster of emotions...

Have you tried without zooming? Still having the lines? I actually never got this problem, strange. I dont work with 64x64 etc at all, randominess is key .

I use to be plagued by this issue. Thin line either on top or bottom of a sprite. In my case the causes:

1. Sprite asset dimension was an odd number and the scaled sprite was an even number.

2. Sprite asset was significantly larger than new scaled size.
