  • Hello everyone,

I’m currently resuming development on an old project in Construct 3. However, I encountered an issue where a crucial plugin I used before is no longer compatible with the latest version of Construct 3.

    I would like to know:

Is there any way to use an older version of Construct 3 to continue developing my project with the old plugin?

If so, how can I access and safely use a previous version of Construct 3? Are there any potential risks or issues I should be aware of when using an older version?

Alternatively, are there recommended ways to update or replace outdated plugins to ensure compatibility with the current version of Construct 3?

I appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thank you!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Try different releases, until you find the one that can open your file:

    construct.net/en/make-games/releases/stable

Or you can check which release your project was saved with - unpack it to a folder and open project.c3proj file in notepad. Look for "savedWithRelease" value.

You can continue developing your game in old version of Construct. There may be some bugs and some export options may not work.

To update to the latest version you'll need to fix the addon, or remove it from your project.

  • For ProUI, I believe this was handed to the community by the original developer, and the community has fixed it for the latest C3 versions.

    Download under "Latest Release":
