How do I make a mirror reflect a sprite?

you could spawn a copy of the sprite, and then set its width to the original sprite's width x -1 to get a mirror image.

but I guess it depends on where the mirror is placed. if the original sprite is supposed to be facing the mirror, does the player see the sprites back? or side? the mirror might have to reflect a different perspective from what the player sees to make sense...

I tried to make the reflection working from all angles, not just from the left. But I couldn't work out the math and gave up. Maybe someone else could fix it.

We'd only need it working if you walked up to the mirror or walked past it as it would be on a wall.

In this instance, the lower dog is the player and the reflection above him is in the mirror. Apologies for the absolutely awful sketch.

Yeah, I know I can duplicate this event 4 times and adjust the expressions, but I was trying to make a single universal event. And then I got bored and gave up :)

With your changed example dop2000, how do I flip the reflected sprite vertically so it's correctly reflecting as a mirror should?

Just disable the two "Flip" actions.

if the only thing that is changing in the reflection is the player, you could add animations/ frames to the mirror that "reflect" the player. then set any number of triggers based on movement and position
