  • Hi

I'm currently in the middle of making a game.

I've deleted some blocks but when I preview the game it is still visible.

I've tried restarting the website but that still didn't make it work.

I'll be happy if you could help.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Sounds like you are loading an old save where those blocks still existed.

  • Hey lionz

    Thanks for the reply.

    You're probably right.

    I'll try saving it again.

    Actually I don't really think it's that.

On the "layout" it shows correctly but when I preview the game it shows incorrectly.

    Is this a glitch?

    Look at this screenshot.

In the preview the red circles shouldn't be there.

On the "layout" it doesn't show any blocks in the red circles which is how I would like it to be.

I'll be happy if anyone could show me how to fix it(I'm waiting for this to be fixed before I carry on on construct 3).

    Thanks in advance,

  • I'm talking about a save game. You posted here recently where you are loading old save games with events. If you disable the load game from save slot events, does the issue still happen?

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hey lionz

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes I do have a "load game" where I use load and save event.

The only "load" events I use is-

On start of layout save as "mysave"

    On Button clicked-load "mysave"

    On "R" clicked-load "mysave"

    On sprite clicked-load "mysave"

The blocks didn't show properly using this method, but everything else did.

I took off the "load" events and replaced them with "go to layout".

This way the blocks I edited showed correctly.

However if I clicked "R" the dragon would spawn then if I clicked it again the dragon wouldn't spawn, also the global variables didn't reset.

Though I suppose I could use-

    On "R" clicked-"go to layout"&"Reset global variables"

    But that didn't work.

But wouldn't it be easier to use "load mysave".

    So have I overlooked anything?

So it was the loading of the save game as mentioned ?

For the other bits I don't really understand the question. You are loading games, restarting and going to layouts but I don't know why, that will be up to you to decide I guess.

  • Hey lionz

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes you're right it is the "load" event.

    Thanks for all your help.

    I really appreciate it.

    Thanks.
