Hello everyone,

I'm using the mobile keyboard so the Player can enter his Nickname but I did not find how to close it once he/she has finished.

Any idea?

After the name is entered - TextInput Set Unfocused. Or destroy.

This should in theory close the keyboard, but you need to test.

Using the built-in form Text Input object for mobile applications is not something I would recommend. You are having issues with the keyboard closing, because Android and iOS has its own inputbox implementation.

What's commonly used for games, is a dialog prompt, or any of its variant. Similar to the Mobile Dialog addon that I made. If you don't have access to an addon, you can use Cordova's official documentation to implement mobile dialogs, using Construct 3's JS Scripting Feature.

I will try both options.

If the first option does not work, I will probably use a dialog prompt then.

Any chance that Construct will help on this?

Because, it's weird that the TextBox can call the keyboard but there is nothing to close it unless, the first option suggested works (I hope) :)

You can make your own keyboard in less than 30 minutes, just need a sprite with each character as a frame in that sprite and some events. Use sprite font to display text on screen.

Then you don't have to depend on other nonsense which may change with every update. Your keyboard is part of your game and you can control what it does and how it behaves
