How do I get duration of speech synthesis text?

How do i get the duration of time the speech synthesis will take to speak?

Similar to Audio.duration("sound")

I need to set the typewriter text speed to how long it will take the speech synthesis to say the text i feed it.

There is no expression for that. You can try playing a test phrase first (maybe with volume=-100, when the game starts) and measure the time it will take to play it. Then use this value to estimate average speed for typewriting effect.

Also, try to use short sentences and play each sentence separately.

How do I measure the time it takes? Other than counting in my head.

Use "On speech ended" event and time expression.

Say, len(text)/(timeEnd-timeStart) will give you speech speed in characters per second.

Thanks! I think I can work with that. I'll be using it constantly, unfortunately. I'll probably just make a function of sorts to get the time and return it in a variable every time I need it. (If I can figure it out).
