So my question is simple:

I have a background and a smart admob banner on the bottom. In the background there are some stuff like buttons etc.

How do I make the background/game and admob match the size of the screen and not overlap.

In android (accepted answer) you can do something like this:

Something like this. I haven´t tested this though but it should do the trick. Don´t know if 200 pixels is enough or too much. Just make sure your layout has room to scroll.

Maybe it´s also possible to use system > set canvas size and basically shave off 200 pixels when an ad is shown but I´m not sure.

My image isn´t showing... EDIT: Of course now it shows, duh :V

On banner shown > Set scroll Y to -200

On banner hidden > Set scroll Y to 0

Tried the above but unfortunately nothing happens.

I find it strange that others haven't encountered this problem.

Maybe it's easier to solve than I think but still can't find an easy solution independent of the screen size

That's because most people that use Admob design their layout so there is no overlap. Is there a reason your buttons need to be so far down on the layout?

It's not about the buttons. It's about the whole design, meaning background with buttons or whatever someone may want to put.

Of course I can push everything up, at least the buttons but the background has to be in the right size always or it gets overlapped.

For example my project is 1280x720.

On my xperia zx1 I had to leave at about 104px so that the banner does not overlap with the background.
