How do I use my 8bitdo controller in Construct 3?

I just bought an 8bitdo SN30 controller for the purposes of using it with Construct 3. While it works with Steam and Epic Games, it does not work for Construct 3. I have tried downloading XPAD(it doesn't work either) since it was recommended by another post. I have searched this topic on this site, google, and youtube. No one has an answer for why it doesn't work, besides the things I've already tried. Can you please help me?

Make sure you the New controller selected under Device (Windows 10). Also, make sure you have all the software (for the Controller) downloaded. Most people Forget to Download the Firmware from the Controller's website.

I have updated to the latest firmware. By have the controller selected do you mean in Windows settings or in Construct? If Construct, then where are the setting for this?

On the website it says they automatically switch to xinput when connected to windows pc so you should have no compatibility issues and you should not need to download any extra software.

Once the Joypad is recognized by Windows then Chrome should automatically pick it up on a browser relaunch. You should not need to do anything.

How are you testing ?
