I was playing around with z height on mesh, and I noticed that the z is not refreshed until the mesh itself changes position. See example project.

Is that the way it should be?

If so, that's going to knock on doing animations that way.

It's hard to say anything about posts like this because it's not clear what it's meant to be doing. I don't see anything changing, but is anything meant to be visible with those events? It's not obvious. This is why we ask for expected vs. observed results in bug reports, and we still need all that information to be able to comment on the forum too.

I looked at the new beta z height animation example. I don't know why its different than my example.

Yeah, that looks like a bug, movement shouldn't affect whether or not mesh Z elevation works. Please file an issue.

Ok I filed the report a few hours ago. I'm still am not sure why the new beta example works, and mine doesn't, unless I'm introducing some rounding errors or something like that.
