I'm struggling to get the Leaderboard using the standard "GooglePlay" plugin to work for a while now. (I had it working with the cranberry plugin in C2)

The Google auto-sign-in popup doesn't show, and prompting via the "GooglePlay Sign In" action does nothing. I've followed the Construct Manual, but still nothing.

Has anyone been able to implement it successfully? Or can the Scirra team confirm that this Plugin has a few issues.

FYI. I've submitted a bug to Scirra:

UPDATE from Scirra:

"This is a known issue with the Google Play plugin. It currently only works for HTML exports. We use their web API, which has been blocked in webviews. To get around this I am writing an interface to use the native API instead when in a webview. It's pretty close to completion and should be included in one of the upcoming beta releases."

...so looks like it will be fixed very soon

Fixed R87 I had to delete google play plugin from my project in R86 save then open in R87 and re-ad google play services make the new game ID app ID from google play console

I don't know if at all related, but I was just looking through googles documentation and saw this

developers.google.com/games/services/web/gettingstarted
- essentially the client only version of game services are deprecated... can that explain anything ?

The Play Store plugin was rewritten in around February. I'm aware of a few projects which have been submitted to the play store with it, so I presume it's all working correctly.

I can't really believe that. We tried to use the Google Play plugin in May and it did not work at all.

Hallorin if you have any issues you should file a bug report at https://github.com/Scirra/Construct-3-bugs/issues. If you have the vanishing sign in issue it's likely that you haven't completed one of the Google required steps.
