Colors in Chrome

Chrome vs Edge: Edge still has smooth shading and chrome looks blocky. Like not as many shades. What's up with that?

If the paint tools rely on canvas drawing operations, the algorithms differ in each browser which may be why you see subtle differences like that.

I came across this issue when I made my own paint editor in the past.

Maybe someone from scirra can explain more about it.

The one on the right is very low res by the looks of it.

Yeah it's the color gradient. Chrome at some point lost its color resolution.

I wonder which version of NodeJS we should go back to to avoid this. It makes my games look bad.

Doing a few tests, this seems to be fixed in r92 release, and export Node or not doesn't seem to show the issue any longer. Did a variety of gradients and what not, couldn't reproduce what is shown in the first screenshot, either in the image editor, on the layout, preview or export? Maybe I'm doing something different when exporting?

Hmmm. I still see it when I run Construct 3 in Chrome. Construct 2's sprite editor the color smooth fades to transparent such that there's no telling where transparent ends and white begins. Chrome there' s a big fat line... where it looks like the lowest alpha level it can display is like 32... then abruptly drops off to zero.
