Anyone else hoping for integrated sound/music maker?

I have started doing a lot more quick prototyping and found myself more and more using the construct sprite editor to quickly throw together sprites. I would love to see a similar sound effect and/or simple music maker to be more of a all-in-one tool similar to pico8.

Nope. C3 is a game engine not a multi-tool. You'll find great free sound/music editors on the internet that are specialized on that task.

No, but I would always welcome more control over handling audio at least.

Seems like a misallocation of resources.

With Construct 3 being browser based it could provide an environment where Scirra could easily make an sound panel or at the very least have an SDK that allows you to use existing javascript audio tools in a custom panel.

Hopefully we'll have some news on how they're handling things but from their existing screenshots things look promising.

No, i have sound engineers in my team and believe me, its better to have your own standalone software for music, its way more complicated than you may think..

A full scale sequencer with sound creation, yes would be out of question, but I think a competent programmer might be able to implement a simple 4 / 8 track mod tracker / player c2/c3 plugin with some oldschool chip tune samples. That would certainly be in the spirit of retro 2d.

It might be, but Construct isn't just for retro 2D games.
