How to add 2d hud when game is on first person 3d camera?

Hi, my game is about memes and it is 3d camera. There is many challenges you can do but I need to have 2d text in the screen displaying the challenges. How do I add 2d text in a 3d camera game? To clarify, this is the exact same thing as saying putting a crosshair for my first person game. Thanks.
