    I am here to share my latest game (still in early development, but you know, the urge to share is always huge...) Powerless!

    It has a leaderboard and Gamejolt integration. I'm still learning and doing my best, but I think it's coming along...

    Description

    Mixing early arcade game mechanics with modern, RPG-type elements, Powerless is meant to be a competitive game where players try to reach the highest score in a given time. After choosing between a Speed, Constitution or Strenght-based build, the player will have to collect gems and kills enemies to get that score going. You only get 5 minutes. Will you be #1? Controls AWSD to shoot ARROWS to move. M to MUTE.

  • i have not been able to get off the floor yet but i will keep trying. maybe it could start off a tad easier so that the player can figure out how things work. i had fun though. i will try again. nice work.

  • What do you mean you haven't been able to get off the floor? I think there is one thing I haven't made clear enough in the game : you can jump and shoot down to get to places you usually wouldn't at early levels.

    The game still needs balance and work in that sense + good AI, but I'm working on it :)

  • It always goes up! It's because it has two uses : killing enemies and ... it's kind of a jetpack?

    Maybe like a presentation screen when the game starts and the character flies from one side of the screen to the other.

  • awesome! I really like this, I found the first minute or so to be a bit bewildering but after that I really got into it!

    I love the art style and the way that the dialog is so dismissive it's almost challenging the player to try harder.

  • Hehe, you mean the first one with that kind of idea? Because there isn't much of a story-line.
