First game

Hi guys, just published my first game on Construct 2.

Its very simple but it works. Simply hold the LMB to move the ball and avoid the spikes. I've been learning Construct 2 through Udemy. Managed to get a bunch of tutorials very cheaply during a sale.

Hopefully be publishing more games in the near future.

Nice start! Maybe add in a collectable object for a score bonus? That would introduce a nice risk-reward mechanic. A couple of other suggestions for simple improvements would be to include an in-game timer so that player has an indication of their progress, and a death animation on the avatar. Looking forward to your next creation!

Hi folks,

I took mekonbekon's advice. Here's what I've changed:

• collect the new coin object to gain points (rather than auto over time)
• new logo and credits layout (there's a link to my short film)
• coin has spinning animation
• player has death animation (WIP)
• improved hit boxes for buttons etc.

Hopefully add sounds in the next version and then move on to another project.

Probably my last update for this game,

• added some sounds - coin, death, menu PLAY button
• fixed the game logic so that the coin only spawns ONCE rather than over time continuously

Its good game, why don't you add the Scirra arcade plugin so we can track our high scores on the website.

Yeah its pretty easy, you will just need to add an extra action at the death event.
