I'm really digging the retro approach to the graphics but I have to say the secondary UI portion gets completely lost with the graphics. The power-ups(?) with the numbers underneath. Maybe adding a box to them... it's nice to have all that readability rather than a switchable item box but I personally feel it gets lost with the rest of the game's graphics. That's my only critique however.
Seeing the game in action itself in another thread you posted was very exciting, this looks really fun. The level-up and other light rpg mechanics interest me as well.
Would love to see the demo soon! Keep up the good work!
