I slightly modified 99Instances2Go 's example to show how to handle animations and the Inverse effect:

Basically, since you have 2 sprites, one with the Inverse effect and the other one that works as the base, you have to make certain that both sprites have the same animations, with the same frames, so they are synchronized.
You also have to be careful to mirror, or modify, both sprites at the same time to keep the illusion in place.
