VS 2013 and windows export?Any techy people had this error?

I am getting these issues when trying to load the exported project to visual studio 2013. Anyone else come across the issue or knows how to resolve it?

I think I probably need to be doing this on a Windows 8.1 machine.

Do you have the latest updates installed? I think it's VS2013 Update 3 now.

Yes have the latest 2013 with update 3. I also tried the other construct 2 export options with similar results in VS.

When I click through one of the links for more information I get this:

which is why I thought I may need windows 8.x

What version of VS 2013 are you using ?

the latest download VS Studio Express 2013 with update 3. It just appears you need to be on the windows 8 operating system.

If you're not on a Windows 8.1 OS, then I guess you're using "VS 2013 for Windows Desktop". What you need is "VS 2013 for Windows" and it seems that it is only compatible with Windows 8.1

I'm running Windows 8.1 (Pro) and the latest C2 Beta (r187) and I see this error too. In Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate (latest), i was presented with this error on launching the .sln file. In VS, the 'Shared' project has an asterisk next to it with the warning 'This project is incompatible with this current edition of Visual Studio'.

When I launch the Desktop or Phone project's emulator, the emulator freezes at the C2 loading icon and in VS it reports that it cannot find the project images. C2 exports the project images to an incorrect depth of the project tree. This bug has been there for quite a few C2 betas.

Really? Ultimate does not trump the 'Free' Edition?

It works if you install windows 8.1. I installed the trial version as dual boot and it builds perfectly with VS Express.
