How do I get Speech Synthesis working on Android?

Hello all! My app is already done, and everything's working fine when I tested it, on firefox, but on my Android test phone, it didn't work (no sound came through). Is it true that Android does not support Speech Synthesis? How do I get Speech Synthesis working on Android phones? Also, does it work on iOS?

I don't know if this will work, but If you build the apk file with the Cordova CLI, try to install the SpeechSysthesis plugin to Web Speech API.

I made a text2speech plugin, that should work on Android (I never tested it). Have a look if the voice quality is sufficient enough for your purposes.
