sound doesnt play

ok, so i managed to import a sound into a test project, this is great. however, the sound does not play

system -> on start of layout --> audio play sound (tag "blah")

                                 audio set "blah" looping

nothing gets played

     play layout and export project = no sound

???

I commented the capx.

It shows how to set up the audio and use it, as well as a few tricks using animations and a "defiling" text (pretty much like the HTML <marquee> used to do).

Those tricks are auxiliary (not directly related to audio).

The sounds and sprites used are those included in C2's Free Bundle (top package to make quick examples with good quality music, sounds and sprites).

Audio is an issue because of the way it is implemented in the browsers.

For the example I posted above, I imported only OGG format, since I'm not under 7 and the conversion to aac is not automaticly done.

If you want your sound to be playing in IE, you have to import .aac sound files (I think audacity allows to convert audio files to aac).

Just a heads up, the file format is .m4a (which is AAC audio, but in a different container).

Is there anyone with references to play audio with character movements? the sound for a slash only plays once after i attack. Haven't seen anything the XAudio2 options that could help me out.

modkva, XAudio2 is only in Construct Classic, not Construct 2, are you sure you posted in the right forum?

I am having trouble with Music, but my sounds are working ok in the Chrome

Browser.

Hello all!

I'm having issues with audio, my sounds are not working on Firefox. It doesn't matter if I import them as sounds or audio. I have converted from mp3 to .Wav, I have tried stereo and mono but Nothing.

I made a new project to try my sounds and they still don't work.

Do I need a variable? I could glance the capx that Kyatric posted but unfortunately I'm a game artist and not a computer person.

Not directly in reply to anyone, a .wav exported from Audacity seems to be a very friendly C2 file to import.
