Can someone help me fix up and complete my sprite?

Hi all! I was making a new sprite for a game and was having trouble getting the body right. I was wondering if someone could give me some pointers on how to fix the legs. Also if anyone has some animating tips, please post them as well.

This is what I added on. I don't know what the shoes/feet should look like. Any advice would be helpful. Also please leave animation tips too Thanks!
