Instead of using the pin object why not just sets its x and y position to another objects x and y every tick?

I just tried pining the text object to the shield in the built-in 'Pin behavior.capx' example and it worked. Is that what you mean?

yes. i have made a text and i have pined it to an other object and it doesnt work. I have also tried the version of smitchell. I doesnt work.
