RPG Movement

Hey peoples, before all, I'm Brazilian, my english is basic.

I want to make a RPG and I want to know how I make the Char, at go to the Up, Left, Right and Down change the sprite. Who use the RPG Maker Engine know what I'm telling.

I use 8 directions and I changed for 4 directions, but make the char change sprite at go for one of the 4 directions is my big problem. How I do that?

Sorry my bad english, I don't know how to explain that in English.

The portion in the red box is for setting actual player movement, and the portion in the green box is for setting idle animations upon the player stopping movement.
