I just discovered this awesome software yesterday, purchased a license today and downloaded most of the behaviors and plugins. I am less interested in making a game, and more focused on using the game engine to perform data visualization. Anyway, I am having problems with the sprite movements. I quickly discovered that the standard 'angle movements' move direction-wise like I want, but have the unwanted effect of rotating the sprite. Looking through the forum, how-to and site search, it looks like I am better off using the 8direction behavior w/o default controls.
Anyway, I have bees that I want to randomly buzz around the layout. My solution is working, but not as well as I would like. The bees seem to focus around a small area and slowly move around. I'd like it to be more fluid around the layout.
Can anyone recommend a better way for random AI movement?
Here is my test file (press the 's' key to spawn the bees)
