  • i'm sure this is a newbie question but my search on the forum didn't turn up anything.

can i do anything against "unclean" transparency in transparent sprites?

here is an EXAMPLE of what it looks like.

  • create cleaner png.

  • great tip :)

the font is a clean true type font and the bar in the upper left corner also has perfect edges in photoshop.

can i increase the quality of photoshop pngs? how?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • also: in the editor everything looks perfect. it falls apart in the browser. maybe i shoud have mentioned that...

  • send capx /o/

With just a few problematic ressources if you don't want to reveal your whole game

  • here is a CAPX

looks very blurry in my browser or is that normal?

  • Not seeing this problem in your capx. Here's a screenshot running in Chrome, zoomed in. It's blurry because of the zoom but there is no noise compared to your initial example.png

ETA: Testing was done on a PC with just the built in intel graphics chipset. Preview mode only, not exported. I checked the PNG inside the capx with Photoshop and it's perfect, no alpha channel problems there.

  • I see the same problem, it seems to be caused by the webGl linear sampling.

For now, you can solve that by switching to Point sampling in the project properties.

I wonder if it's a graphic card issue as Cross_ doesn't seem to have this problem.

If it helps, my card is a NVidia GTX 460 and I'm on win server 2008 r2 (it's like win 7) 64bits.

  • ok. so it's no simple solution. i will check into it and test it on other cards and browsers.

thanks for your help so far.

looks great when i disable WebGL by the way... i'll just have to watch the performance i guess...
