How do I orbit moons around planet that can rotate?

Moons cannot seem to orbit around a 8-directional player while being pinned or positioned. How can I get around this so moons rotate with player while appearing to orbit it?

I'm not married to using Sine. It could be a Bullet or Forward positioning.

7Soul Very interesting! Not quite though as it's orbiting in a circle. I need it to "orbit" horizontally (back and forth) to appear like it's orbiting. My example to the left in the capx, shows the movement I'm trying to achieve on top of the player that also rotates with him.

Then replace the 'self.orbit_radius' with '0' (zero) in the 'set position' action on the Y.
