  • Hey Guys,

    I'm fairly new to the land of Construct 2, and I have an idea of a game that I want to make. I'm currently in prototype phase, and I'm a little stuck, hence the post

    What I want to achieve is ;

    When the player touches the "character" in this case a little yellow box, I want an aiming semi circle to appear above the character. An arrow will also appear on the semi circle, however it movement is confided to the semi circle. The player can move there finger left and right to aim the arrow.

    Once the arrow is aimed the player "pulls" back, the arrow will move forward at this point to indicate the strength of the "shot". Finally when the player "lets go" and is no longer in touch the character will be shot in the direction and strength of the arrow.

    I've had a go but am stuck and in need of your guys help.

  • You should check out the physics slingshot examples... you may be able to find more about them here in the forums... the only difference between this and a slingshot (like angry birds) is the visual representation of the slingshot would instead be a circle with an arrow pointed at your target trajectory.

  • The physics example is really well made.

    As for the visual representation it's all a matter of taste. I find construct to be one of the most flexible visual engines so if you have some good art you could really make your game shine.

  • Hey guys! Thanks for getting back to me! I did check out the physics example and got so far but i'm stuck hence the post! I've only just notice the Url didn't get posted (I can't post urls yet)

    Any help would be much appreciated
