Making a tower defense game

HI

This is my first time using such a tool and I am pretty overwhelmed.

All I did so far was simulate a simple platform game.

I want to make a tower defense game but I am not sure how to even start.

Any kind of help or guidance will be a boon! :)

I am not expecting to be spoon fed! A nudge or a push in the right direction would be more than enough!

1. Do I need to draw the predefined path that my creeps should take?

2. How do I spawn creeps and make them stick to that path?

You could set up a simple waypoint system and make your sprites change their angle when they are overlapping the waypoint.
