How can I have each individual object shoot?

Right now, I am making a Space Invaders clone. All the enemy ships are one sprite copied over and over. Any method in which I am trying to let them shoot will have them all shoot at the same time. I want them to shoot randomly at different times.

Your method fires every few seconds, only one instance fires. I really want a way for each instance independently to fire randomly every few seconds.

reverse contitions in event 1 from farsmile90 exaple and you will get what you need:

instead: for each nemeyship

        every random(2,3)seconds

just reverse: every random(2,3)seconds

              for each nemeyship

just reverse conditions in event one
