A Few Questions

I am developing a OS thingy, and the icons look like crap. Here's a screenshot.

It's supposed to look like this.

EDIT: It's shrieked down during runtime, so it can be used with different resolutions.

And the other problem is that the program disappears after a while, even when I export it. It doesn't do this in IE, but only in Firefox.

Its called Anti-aliasing.

Its also waaay too big.

So... I should shrink the image a little?

Id say pick a power of two sized image at least less than half the current size.
