How do I make a failure state in a text game

In my text game I want to create a failure state where you can press 'space' to continue the game. However, you need to press 'space' twice to continue. I have tried everything to fix this, including deleting the textbox, but I can't get it to work.

I've replaced 'space' with the left mouse button and it works fine, so I think it has something to do with the textbox.

create group. continue and deactivate group

in group keyboard space bar (I think it is keystroke 32) add 1 to global variable spacebar

if spacebar = 2 then continue game

and deactivate group conitunue

if spacebar > 2 spacebar = 0

something like that

So when you want to use it, add activate group continue whereever applicable.

Can you make it as a .capx file? I have a hard time following.

Just take his capx and extract it using something like winrar or 7-zip to a folder. Then in that folder open the caproj file with notepad/wordpad.

Then on the line

<saved-with-version>21000</saved-with-version>

Change that number to your version. If your version is 206 then the number should be 20600, if your version is 200 then change it to 20000, if 207 change to 20700, etc...

I have his capx file, but what do you mean by extracting? It's not in a .rar file or anything.
