Error document empty

So i had a crash when i tried to change some text to bold. I knew it would probably happen so i saved it before i tried to change it. Pc did indeed crash as expected.

When i tried to load my save it i get the error:

failed to open project

error document is empty

I tried to open my backup:

Unable to open for unzipping.

I checked the event xml and it seems fine.

Checked the layout xml and it doesn't show me anything. Not sure if this is correct i'm still new to all of this.

I was nearing completion of my game so please don't tell me i have to start all over again?

I had the same issue. Had to close Construct, the web browser (open to preview the game) and do a reboot on the pc. After that, it worked just fine.

I just ran into this issue on my computer, however, a simple reboot didn't fix the problem.

At a complete loss. (No pun intended.)

Any help would be much obliged.
