Dissapearing platforms that reappear

Hello all! This is my first time posting and I need some help regarding making Platforms appear, disappear, and reappear again. Like, having many platforms scattered around a room but some don't appear at the start, the some disappear and then different ones would appear in different locations, but not in a random order. Would anyone know about how to implement this? Any help would be great <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

You may want to give your platforms private variables. And then, select them by those variables and show/hide them.

If you only make them invisible, however, you can still stand on them, which you probably don't want. If that's the case you might need to create/destroy them for the effect you want.
