Been looking everywhere but can't seem to see this question asked? Maybe it's simple but i can't seem to figure it out.
Why would you want to do such thing ?
The offline.appcache is used for allowing users to play your game offline.
I know, after talking to a few players on kongregate they get a message on firefox saying it want's to save data. They did not like this and said they would avoid such games that would do this. After all who is going to play a kongregate game offline? It might be more bandwidth for me but oh well i still wish to do this.
Well educate your gamers so that they understand that the "datas saved" are just to prevent to have to download the games assets (pictures) every time they want to play your game.
That's HTML5 anyway, they shouldn't fear it.
Is it possible to change the text of the message, to be more clear as to what is being saved, or is this a built-in browser message?
The message is only received on firefox. Would defiantly say its a built-in message.
It's a built in browser message.
Could you put a message in your loading screen to explain it?
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
Also what is even more annoying is i can't seem to get my game to update.
