background??

hey guys,

I have a layout of About 10000 width and 512 height and made a back ground of 512, 512

also I have a sprite that moves around in the layout. I want to make the background to follow that sprite???

please help.

Put the background sprite on a layer. In the layer properties, set the Parallax to: 0, 0 (it should be 100, 100 by default).

I can't find parallax in layout properties I only see name, event sheet, active layer, unbounded scrolling, layout size, margins??

Are you using the "Scroll to" behavior?

So why not stretch the tiledbackground to cover your whole layout and setting parallax to 100,100?

Maybe we can solve "something" for you..

Using tiled background it shouldn't be an issue making the background that big, but you could also choose to create and destroy instances of it when needed..

It all depends on what you want to do, the result you want to get.

There is not one solution that fits all circumstances, although there are "solutions" that fit none..
