pickup animation tutorial

Hi all. I'm new here and just bought a personal license. I'm working on my first game and I would like to use the pick up items that came with the jungle platformer but I'm a bit confused on how to use them.

For example how would I use the animated coin pick up? Shouldn't the sprite strip contain all of the coin frames? It seems that all the sprite strips have assorted sprites.

Prepare sprites for coin animation + play/loop it

on player collision with coin sprite, make coin disappear and add "1" to "NumberOfCoins" global variable :)

is there a tutorial that will show me how to "prepare sptites for coin animation"?

For making the actual artwork for a game, you'll want to search for tutorials on youtube etc.
