Hi, sorry for my english. I have one offer about Construct 2 functions. I wanted make classic point and click quest. Before I had experience with AGS Editor. At this editor you can just select zone (by pencil) at screen and make from this object. It is very convenient if you paint background like whole thing.

I new at construct, sorry if there another solution about this.

You could still use one image as a background and add sprite detectors on top of that. Downside of this is that you cannot use sprites with complex shapes because you're limited to polygonal collision checking.
