Object Sorting Suggestion

When picking an object for an action, there is a search option which is good. However, it would be nice to be able to sort the objects by what layout they're in. Maybe using tabs? Thanks.

Objects don't strictly belong to any particular layout, because you can create any object from any layout on any other layout. Isn't the search box the quickest way to find objects anyway?

Your already alpha sorting right? couldn't you add just the object type to the sort method? 80% of my window is always filled with text objects. having them grouped would pretty it up by itself. (I never remember all the names I use to search.)

Thinking along those lines, I will now always start my text objects with z. That will fix it for me.

Using the search box wouldn't be necessary in my project if the window only contained the objects of the current layout event sheet (as an option and if it's possible). Just an observation.
