  • I can't get it to install too. It's extracting and then it just crashes.

    Windows XP 32bit

Does anyone know: Is it possible to do the whole process online? Or will I definitely need this software on my PC?

  • I manage to instal XDK and test one of my games, but unfortunatly the FPS dropped from 55-60 in CocoonJS to 10-15 in XDK. I am using Samsung Galaxy S2 for testing

  • If you're seeing reduced performance, how does it run in Chrome for Android? That should produce similar results. If you've never optimised your game for mobile before and you're just trying it out on Android for the first time with Crosswalk, it's also possible your game is taking advantage of the fact desktop PCs are 10x faster or more. You should test games on mobile from the start and it's not really Crosswalk's fault if you haven't done that so far.

Text objects changing every tick can be pretty slow so try hiding them if you have that. Ize, I noticed you had some debug text that looks like it changes every tick, that's definitely going to kill performance.

  • Hmmm

Also have the Issue that there is no Screen in XDK Build that gives

    download link for apk..

  • Made the test again

    CocoonJS 50-60 FPS

    Android Chrome 40-50 FPS

XDK 15-30 FPS (and graphics seem a little pixelated and blurry)

I have no physics in my game, just bullets and a sine behaviour (maybe sine is doing the low fps ) I will test more

flemmig I did not manage to download apk either. I used their launch app for Android.

  • Right now the Intel part of it all seems a bit.. non-verbose. I have not been able to get an apk-link, too (the spinning "building-wheel" just disappeared), but I'm suspicious, since the Build-Page shows no "previous build".. so I suspect it did not build at all or crashed on the cloud.

It would be better, if one could see some sort of progress log of what the cloud builder is doing, but alas, nothing Scirra can do about that.

    this is happening to me aswell,Im using 64bit Vista,This is about as far as i get.<img src="http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/ae242/emoneydatruth/Capture_zps3ca9a110.png" border="0" />

    I looked at it now

  • Not run in windows xp, only windows 7 or 8

  • Seems like my hunch was right... no APK link means this:

    <img src="http://www.doomsday-machine.com/zeug/failed.png" border="0" />

Not sure why the build fails though.

Ashley Are there any known culprits that must not be in a project right now to work?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • maybe you could try using Crosswalk alone?

    crosswalk-project.org

    crosswalk-project.org

    but it's more complicated :)

  • That will be nice.

  • When you use App Preview, you don't get Crosswalk performance enhancement, it's like just running in the webview of that device, thus the slower results. If you're having issues with your game not building, please send me your capx file so I can debug and see what may be the issue.

    Send capx to tyler.smithzcg@intel.com :D

  • Thanks for the offer, and welcome to our community.

  • via crosswalk no link at all.via android method the link button appeared when the process finished and also ive got an email with the link too.but with this method the result was discouraging.2-5 fps where with cocoon ive got 20-32.And also no sound at all.

i hope with crosswalk method things get better.but with no link i cant tell for now. when i tested via intel's cloud the game has no sound too but it runs smoothly. Anyway thanks scirra for the try and lets hope that things will get better.
