actually there are no files for anything at all ?_?
You have to provide the media. There are some files found in the examples but everything else you will have to make/source yourself.
A quick search on the forums will provide you with what you need.
oh. i see... (Not really).
how do i make my own things?
When you add a sprite there is an editor built into C2-
https://www.scirra.com/manual/48/image-and-animations-editor
Or you can use software outside of C2 and import it.
You can get all this information from the manual:
https://www.scirra.com/manual/1/construct-2
I followed the Ghost Shooter tutorial, and it provided all the graphics I needed - in the tutorial. I simply had to right-click the images and save them, and then import them into the editor. Or you could perhaps open an example project?
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
Best way to start is by downloading images from the internet onto your desktop.
Then just drag them into construct 2.
To make your own images, I recommend Photoshop. But to be honest, I would just use internet sprites until your game is half decent.
Well ... You need to import your image file to the image editor ....
Just double-click on your tiled background and the image editor will pop-up ...

No need to start off by trying to make your own graphics or by scouring the web for sprite packs!
The Construct 2 free edition also comes with a free graphics bundle (freebundle.zip) that includes this folder path:
\Sprites\Space\Backgrounds, and that folder has the missing Background.png file that stumped you. In the email you were sent with your licence file it should also have a link to download these extra resources.
I am having this same problem, and I do not see this freebundle.zip, nor do I have a link to download these resources in the email that I recieved when i bought the personal edition. What am I supposed to do to get said graphics?
Click 'Free bundle' in the website footer.
At the top right corner of the page is your name.
Click it.
A drop down box will come...down?
You will see "Your Purchases".... click it.
The new page will show "Get Assets"
