Do anyone think a game can work without graphics at all ?
I'm thinking of a farming game, not with trucks and such lol..
Nono, gold farming game, where you buy slaves and such to mine different materials to sell em, and get gold ^^
without graphics means ASCII only?
Yea, only text based ^^
Well then yeah, it can work... there are tons of text-adventures and other funny text-based stuff from the beginning of computer gaming.
Hackrun is a pretty new game that uses text-only and it´s more than great fun
And don't forget Dwarf Fortress:

Yes, Text Only games can work very well <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">
There was this discussion recently https://www.scirra.com/forum/is-it-possible-to-make-a-game-like-a-dark-room-in-c2_t110615?
Yes, it could be done quite simply. I've never heard of A Dark Room before but I love text adventures! Playing A Dark Room now and it's quite fun, a bit different to traditional text adventures but not too much, just simplified. I'll have to try making one, might put up a tutorial as well when done.
On Construct 2, the "non-graphics" would actually be turned into sprites... which makes them graphics, right?
Well doesn't really matter, it's just text all over anyway ^^
It does matter, in the sense that it won't be actual text, but images of text. It's just not the same
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
But since you can't see it in the HTML5, then it isn't a problem xD
alvarop what is your definition of 'actual text'?

I guess it's because you can't mark the text and eventually copy it, because it will be converted to images. I don't know if it's correct, but seems correct ^^
