Casino? money? who knows? but the target is the same!
  • is there a particular browser that runs constructs html games the fastest?

I use an old version of fire fox, I think when i tried explorer it didnt work

but maybe it works fastest with chrome or something else?

  • Chrome is definitely the best. Firefox is not too far behind.

Better yet, might want to check this out.

  • Chrome is best at the moment, but firefox is catching up. If you try out Aurora, the beta of the next firefox, you can see nice improvements, almost on par with chrome.

  • Well if Chrome is the best why does it run the game I made at 44 FPS when IE9 runs it at 60 FPS???

  • Hm.. i stopped using Chrome because of that "laggyness" i used to get when running my test capx's.

And also all the information directly to Google.. Didn't like that either, hehe.

Firefox is good enough for me atm.

  • Firefox 12 has overtaken Chrome in our benchmarks.

I know we've traditionally always said to use Chrome because it's fastest, but Firefox 12 is really fast and beats Chrome in several places. So for pure performance Firefox 12 is probably the best now - however, for other qualities like smoothness and audio support, Chrome still does a bit better I think.

IE9 and IE10 have by far the best graphics acceleration (everything in IE is GPU accelerated, even static text and images). I dont know much about Construct but if it's using Canvas and not WebGL then any 2D animation should run best in IE9/IE10.

Chrome sometimes reports nice high frame rates but it always has a laggyness to them, even on my 5GHz 6 core PC with the fastest graphics cards money can buy.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Um, i tested firefox vs chrome, my song loops in chrome but not in firefox, as for how fast it went, chrome seemed ever so slightly faster, but maybe it was my imagination, however for the purposes of testing things chrome took longer to initialize

thats just what my experiments revealed, maybe il try IE if they have best graphics speed

Not according to our tests! With WebGL support, both Firefox and Chrome are twice as fast as IE. Even without WebGL support, Firefox 12 is faster than IE 10 already! See our blog post about IE10.

  • I really wish Apple would do something about Safari...

But improving HTML5 performance does not equal "More Shiny", so I suppose this is too much to hope for from that company!
