Exporting won't minify after R247.3 install

After updating to R257.3 (due to Chrome update), upon exporting to HTML5 Website, I get a message that it was unable to run the script minifier and needs Java 8+ installed (which I already had, but reinstalled anyway making sure to install 64bit as the message instructed). After shutting down, rebooting, and exporting, I still get the message that it didn't minify.

Any ideas?

Which version did you update from? Can you narrow it down to the specific version that the change happened with?

We haven't changed how the minifier runs for, I don't know, a couple of years now, so I suspect you were either on a really old version, or something else changed.

Walking it back:

R255 - minifies.

R256 - minifies.

R257 - minifies.

R257.2 - Did not minify.

R257.3 - Did not minify.

R258 - minifies.

If the minifier wasn't changed for a few years, then this is very strange.

That's weird, r257.2 and r257.3 certainly didn't include any changes to the minifier at all.

Maybe a corrupt file?

I noticed that 257.3 did export normally if I exported an empty project.
