Casino? money? who knows? but the target is the same!
  • Hello everyone.

I have just started using "Construct 2" and I really love it. However, I would like to remove the limitations by buying the full version. I have heard that there have been a Steam sale, where Construct 2 was at a discount. Is it true? And furthermore, do you think it will sometime soon be at a discount again?

    Thanks in advance

    Simon

  • Everyone, me included, will recommend you buy the standalone version. It's worth every penny.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Agree with alvarop, highly recommend you buy it directly here. You might sometimes get it cheaper with sales at steam, but there are issues where you need to run steam in order to run C2.

Not to mention if you buy it here, you get a nice shiny medal to show off

  • Thank you both for the answers.

If I buy the standalone edition, will I be able to have Construct 2 installed on multiple computers? Cause if I buy at steam, I can have it on all my PC's.

Also, what programs do you use to create Sprites and sound effects?

  • You can install it on as many PCs as you wish AS LONG AS you are the only person accessing the registered version of C2.

  • Since your just starting out, it would make your life easier to buy it directly here. Like zenox said you just can't have multiple users but you can use it on multiple machines. For spprites any art program will do, Photoshop, Corel Painter, or any of the free ones like paint.net.

For sound effects there are some that are included when you purchase, but there are lots of sites that offer stock sounds, which can be editted with Auducity which is also free. Hope this helps. Cheers

  • Wow, thanks for the quick answers. You have really helped me out.

Any other tips for a beginner like me? Do you know were I should publish my game when finished? (I mean, what's the easiest place to do so?)

  • I'd recommend Gamejolt and here. The communities are pretty quick to respond and give feedback

Not to plug my podcast, but our first episode is a bit about how to start out and stuff like that. If you want, check it out

  • I'll check it out, Alvarop
