Compressing Brute with PNG-8 Lossy performance

Hey there guys,

I just had a few questions about compressing (Brute) images that are PNG-8 (Lossy) Vs. Compressing (Brute) PNG 32 images.

Would there be a significance in performance between the two? Would the Lossy have better performance?

Or is it best to stick to the PNG-32 and just go with Brute Compressing?

You mean will it make your game run faster? The most it would do is make the game download quicker if the file size is smaller. The speed of uncompressing might change but it doesn't matter since it's only done once and is not a bottleneck at all.

only shrinks your files. but in runtime they would be the same. but be carefull - with png8 you lose alpha channel.
