  • Why doesn't the developers include ALL the features present in CC to C2?

As far as I know all other softwares do this. All features present in version 1 is present in version 2.This way, version 2 surpasses and supersedes version 1 completely.

  • CC was an open source free program using DirectX that was developed by college guys with time on their hands. It has now been retired. It was buggy and not easy to maintain.

Ashley decided to make C2 to follow the emerging HTML5 standard. The two programs are not related in any way, except in their coding philosophy.

C2 is still in active development, and already far surpasses CC in usability and stability.

  • Classic was developed over about four years before it became relatively inactive; C2 has been in public development about two years now. It is our plan of course to incorporate everything Classic had, and I think we are very close to that (apart from perhaps some plugins that don't make sense in a web browser). In many ways we've already far exceeded Classic in that C2 can export to loads of platforms, not just DirectX 9 for Windows desktop. There are tonnes of other improvements as well, such as how event variables work, a much better families system... too much for me to even remember to list.

  • Mesh would be nice )

    we need distort sprites as in CC <img src="smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Ashley i would love to see the sprite image editor in C2 become just as handy as the sprite image editor in CC. CC has alot more tools to edit your sprites.

But other than the sprite editor i see no competition between the two versions with C2 coming out on top.

  • Pretty much only thing I would like now is external audio file support with Node-Webkit. And well maybe some shaders I don't know yet that I need <img src="smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
