my Button doesn't work

Hi Community,

I have a game on the Scirra Arcade

I've created a button on the menu page to go to my YouTube page.... but when I click it, nothing happens.

can this be achieved in Scirra Arcade?

You need to add the browser plugin to your game first.

Then on button click, as action do browser -> go to url, and put your youtube link there.

Sorry, I forgot to add to above,

I have a Browser plugin > 'OpenURL in new window' already assigned to the button.

Tag "NewWindow"

It works in a PC browser window but sadly not in Scirra Arcade

Weird I thought you forgot to add the plugin, but if it works fine on browser and not on the arcade, it probably has to do something with the arcade export option, maybe its a bug, you can report it here.

Okay so I did some reading, and it turns out the arcade blocks any external url on purpose for security measures.

Currently the Arcade only supports the built-in plugins and behaviors, except for the platform specific plugins (like the Windows 8 object). Also, the Browser object has limited features on the Arcade: any actions which can navigate to a different page are blocked for security reasons. Currently all third-party plugins and behaviors are not allowed. We'll be looking to improve this in future by adding more support, but each plugin and behavior must be carefully reviewed first to ensure the Arcade remains a safe and secure place to play games.
